Religious Emblems "Duty to God" Retreat is held annually for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts to get a jumpstart on thier National or Diocesan age-specific Religious Emblem.
The Retreat is attended by Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and an impressive host of parental support to their sons' interest in their spiritual development. Five new Religious Emblems Counselors were recently trained awaiting their pastor's letter of approval. Each year's retreat has been blessed with the presence of Bishop Michael Jarrell who celebrates a Mass at the opening of the annual diocesan retreat. Bishop Jarrell serves as our Spiritual Shepherd who takes the opportunity to explain his role, and the roles of his priests and ministers who serve the laity in the Diocese of Lafayette, the largest per-capita Diocese in the country. Congratulations to the following Scouts for earning their Ad Altare Dei Religious Emblem!
